Abstract
This paper studied the impact of governance on under-five child mortality rate, and estimated the impact of governance on relationship between health ODA(Official Development Assistance) and under-five child mortality rate, using data from 85 low and middle-income countries from 2002 to 2010. This study examined the both qualitative and quantitative role of governance measured by voice and accountability, government effectiveness, and control of corruption, in improving ODA effectiveness. My results showed that good governance leads to reduce under-five child mortality rate. Also results indicated that health ODA lowers under-five child mortality rate in developing countries with good governance. This paper contributes to improve ODA effectiveness, suggesting evidences for importance of governance in health ODA.
