공감을 이끌어내는 SNS 디자인 프레임워크 제안- 카카오스토리 사례 중심으로 -

Abstract

기술의 발달로 공감을 표현하는 매체들이 다양해지면서소셜 네트워킹 서비스(social network service:SNS)에도변화가 일어나고 있다. 일례로 모바일 매체 전용의 카카오스토리는 최근 국내에서 범용 SNS인 페이스북보다 더많은 사용자를 가지게 되었다. 이러한 변화 속에서 본연구에서는 진정한 공감 경험을 가져오는 소셜네트워킹서비스를 디자인하기 위한 프레임워크를 연구하였다. 우선 본 연구에서는 문헌연구를 통해 공감에 대한 정의를내리고 매체의 발전에 따른 공감 경험의 확장에 대해분석하였다. 특히, 그린스펀의 인간 의식발달 단계로부터 SNS의 공감적 자아 발달을 위한 5단계로 1) 서비스파악, 2) 자아표현, 3) 인간관계, 4) 놀이, 5) 자아정체성을 도출하였고 각 단계별 관계를 밝혀 디자인 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 또한 정리된 5단계를 카카오스토리사례에 적용하여 보았다. 사례분석 결과 카카오스토리의사용자는 1)모바일에 최적화된 기능을 통해 빠르게 서비스를 파악할 수 있고, 2)카카오톡 프로필 사진을 통해자아표현 욕구를 자극받아 카카오스토리에 자아표현을할 수 있으며, 3)공감의 정도를 단계별로 표현할 수 있는 피드백 장치를 통해 관계를 유지 발전시킬 수 있고,4)순수한 놀이의 성격을 통해 인간적 자아가 드러남으로써 공감적 반응을 가져올 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 하지만, 5)단계의 다중적 자아 정체성을 드러내는 장치는 부재하여 심층 연기를 통해 상대방의 처지를 이해하는 공감은 어려운 것으로 나타났다. Recent development of information technology (IT)enables the use of various media, which changessocial network service (SNS). For example,Kakaostory, a mobile-media based SNS, now havea higher number of users than that of a worldwideSNS, facebook in Korea. Motivated by this, I aimto provide a design framework for SNS thatinduces empathy. I first conducted a literaturereview and derived five stages from Greenspanscognitive-intellectual development theory. They are1)service perception, 2)self expression 3)developmentof relationship 4)play 5)self-identity. Also, Iconducted a case study of Kakaostory with thesuggested design frameworks. I found that fourstages of design frameworks work well inKakaostory while service design for 5) still lacks. The service is optimized for the mobile platform sothat a first user can feel positive with it. Naturallythe user can have a desire to express moreself-images in kakao story by being stimulatedfrom the kakaotalk profile. The Relationship formedfrom the Kakaotalk list can be maintained ordeveloped through the appropriate feedbackfunctions to express degree of empathy. Because ithas no practical purpose, people can play and showtheir all too human self. However Kakastorydoesnt provide any feature to show multipleidentity of users so that it is hard to imagine theothers position.
