| dc.description.abstract | 이 논문에서는 마카오 사회에 비해 홍콩 사회에서 자치주의에 대한 높은 지지도를 보여주고 있는 현상을 설명하고, 이 현상을 경로의존이론을 적용하여 두 사회 간의 차이를 발생시키는 이유에 대해 알아보기로 한다.
저자는 마카오와 홍콩 사회가 중국과 포르투갈 간 반환 협상과 중국과 영국 간 반환 협상 후에 다른 경로로 나아가게 되었다고 설명한다. 홍콩은 중국과 영국 간 협상 결과로 보통 선거를 약속하였기 때문에 반환 후 민주화의 길을 걷게 되었지만, 마카오는 중국과 포르투갈 간 협상 시 보통 선거에 대한 약속이 없이 중화 인민 공화국의 특별 행정구역으로 편입되었다. 이러한 차이로 인해 두 사회 간 정치적 시위의 빈도와 강도의 차이가 발생하며, 중국 중앙 정부에 대한 두 사회의 태도의 차이가 발생하며, 두 사회 간 자치주의에 대한 지지 정도의 차이가 발생하게 된다. | - |
