시뮬레이터를 이용한 촉각 제어장치의 사용자 감성 반응 모형 연구

Abstract

사용자들의 욕구가 다양화 되어가며 이를 충족시키기 위해 제품들은 점점 다기능화 되어가고 있으며 더불어 인간이 처리해야하는 정보의 양은 점점 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 시청각을 이용하는 기존의 인터페이스를 보완하기 위하여 인간의 촉각을 이용한 인터페이스에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다.

본 연구에서는 촉각 제어장치를 대상으로 체계적인 조작 감성 평가를 수행하여 주요 감성을 도출하고 조작 만족도 및 촉각 피드백 디자인 요소와의 관계를 도출하여 감성 반응 모형을 구축하였다. 촉각 제어장치 중 컨트롤 노브와 터치 스크린을 대상으로 하였고, 조작 감성 평가를 수행하기 위해 디자인 변수를 정의하고 촉각 피드백과 물리 장치 및 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다.

감성 평가 결과 요인분석을 통해 컨트롤 노브 및 터치 스크린 각각의 조작 시 표출되는 주요 감성을 도출하였고, 다변량 분산분석과 컨조인트 분석을 통해 피드백 디자인 변수와 주요 감성의 관계를 파악하였다. 이들 결과를 바탕으로 주요 감성, 디자인 변수 및 조작 만족도에 대한 종합적인 사용자 감성 모형을 도출하였다.

본 연구는 촉각 제어장치 조작 시 표출되는 감성들을 분석하여 주요 감성을 도출하고 조작 만족도 및 피드백 디자인 요소와의 관계를 종합하여 사용자 감성 모형을 제시한 탐색적인 연구로써 의의를 지니며 향후 본 연구의 감성 모형을 검증하고 수정하는 연구가 수행되어야 할 것이다.

Consumers needs have been changing rapidly and diversely. In order to satisfy the needs, products in the market also become more and more multi-functional and complex. Multi-functionalization in products has made human to process more information than before. Thus, demands for an interface that uses humans touch sensor, called haptic interface, have been increasing so as to complement visual and auditory interfaces.

In this study, by conducting an affective evaluation on a control knob-type and a touch screen-type devices, primary affects aroused when controlling haptic devices were identified. It was also identified that what and how design attributes of haptic feedback influence on the primary affects. Based on the results, affective models were made.

This study contributed to the affective engineering area by making the affective models composed of customer satisfaction, primary affects, and design attributes of haptic feedback. Later research should validate the affective models suggested in this study with new data and modify the models.
