Alban Berg의 <7개의 초기가곡 (Sieben frühe Lieder)>에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 20세기 현대음악의 작곡가인 Alban Berg의 초기 7개의 가곡<Sieben frühe Lieder>에 관한 연구이다. <Sieben frühe Lieder>는 Alban Berg가 Schönberg을 사사한지 얼마 되지 않은 시기부터 쓰여진 작품으로, 1905-1908년 사이에 작곡되었다. 문학에 관심이 많았던 Alban Berg는 이 작품을 위해 각각 다른 7명의 시인들의 시를 선택하여 낭만적 서정성을 바탕으로 아름다운 음악으로 완성시켰다. <Sieben frühe Lieder>는 독일 후기 낭만주의 음악에서 무조음악과 12음 기법을 서정적이며 조성적인 요소로 융화시켜 체계적으로 완성한 작품으로, 전통을 존중하면서도 자신만의 독특한 작곡양식을 구축, 발전시킨 것으로 평가된다.

This thesis is a study of Sieben frühe Lieder by Alban Berg. who was a modern composer of the 20th century. Sieben frühe Lieder was composed between 1905 and 1908, soon after Berg finished studying with Schönberg. Berg, who was fascinated with literature, chose seven poems by seven poets to accomplish this beautiful piece of romantic music. Sieben frühe Lieder has an atonal music form and uses the twelve note technique from German post romanticism, mixing these forms as lyrical and systematic elements. It has been evaluated as not only respecting tradition but also creating and developing Alban Berg's unique style of composition.
