후기구조주의의 종교철학적 가능성 연구 :존 카푸토(John D. Caputo)의 자크 데리다(Jacques Derrida) 연구 중심으로

Abstract

이 논문의 목적은 해체철학자인 자크 데리다의 해체철학이 상대주의 회의주의라는 오해를 넘어서서 종교적으로 이해가능한지를 살펴보고 또 한 동시에 이에 대한 무신론 주장에 대해서도 살펴보는 것이다. 해체철학에 대한 종교적 해석을 시도한 존 카푸토는 해체를 심장 없는 시대의 뜨거운 심장과 기도로 해석한다. 그의 해석은 대륙철학자들에게 큰 영향을 끼쳤고 종교와 철학의 간학문적 대화에도 기여를 하였다. 하지만 이에 반대하며 근본 무신론을 주장하는 학자도 있다. 마틴 해글룬트이다. 그는 데리다 철학을 해석함으로써 근본악, 생존, 생명의 유한성의 무한성을 주장하며 신 관념, 선, 영원 등의 절대순수관념의 불가능성을 지적한다. 이를 통해서 무신론을 유신론의 상대개념이 아닌 독자적 개념으로 정위지으려 한다. 양측의 의견은 결론 나지 않은 부분이고 양측 다 근거 있는 주장을 펼치고 있다.

The purpose of this article is to compare two different views on the deconstruction of Jacques Derrida: religious interpretation and atheistic one. Although the philosophy of Derrida has been misunderstood as relativism and skepticism, John Caputo reinterpreted him as a religious philosopher. He considers the deconstruction as a heart in a heartless world, and prayers and tears. His interpretation affects on many continental philosophers and contributes for the interdisciplinary conversation between theology and philosophy. On the contrary, Martin Hagglund disagrees on the religious view, and insists radical atheism. He articulates some conceptions like radical evil, survival, and the infinite finitude of life. By the help of Derrida, he indicates that the religious autoimmune conceptions such as God, the good, eternity are impossible, He tries to build atheism up radically, not a relative conception. The arguments between Caputo and Hagglund are still going on. It is hard to conclude which one is right, but it is certain that they are contributing the development of interdisciplinary conversation and development.
