체육영재프로그램이 아동의 체력요인에 미치는 영향 : The effect of Exercise on Physical Fitness Factors in children

dc.description.abstract본 연구의 목적은 6개월 간의 체육영재 프로그램 참가가 아동의 체력요인(상·하지 순발력, 하체 근지구력, 복근지구력, 심폐지구력, 스피드, 민첩성, 유연성)에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 규명하는데 있다.
연구의 대상은 실험군은 서울시 소재 S대학교에서 실시하는 체육영재 프로그램에 참여하는 8세 ~ 11세까지의 아동 17명을 선정하였고, 대조군으로는 서울시 소재 초등학교장의 추천을 받은 인원으로 스포츠영재 발굴 평가도구 KOSTASS를 활용하여 영재에 준하는 인원으로 15명 구성하였다.
실험군은 체육영재 프로그램에 따라 6개월 동안 주 1회 2시간동안 공통실기 프로그램(운동발달 훈련)과 격주로 3시간 동안 전공실기(육상, 수영, 체조) 운동을 실시하였다. 프로그램 참가 전·후에 스포츠영재 발굴 평가도구 측정항목에 따라 체력(상·하지 순발력, 하체 근지구력, 복근지구력, 심폐지구력)과 운동능력(스피드, 민첩성, 유연성)을 측정하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS version 18.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 paired t-test와 repeated measures ANOVA를 실시하였고, 유의수준은 .05로 하였다.
본 연구를 통하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 체육영재 프로그램 참가에 따른 체력의 변화에서 실험군의 경우 사전, 사후 비교하여 기록이 대부분의 종목에서 향상되었다. 윗몸 일으키기(복근지구력), 하프스쿼트 점프(하지 근지구력)항목에서 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 집단 간 기록변화 비교에서는 통계적으로 유의한 항목이 나타나지 않았다.
둘째, 체육영재 프로그램 참가에 따른 운동능력의 변화는 실험군의 경우 50m 달리기(스피드)를 제외한 항목에서 기록이 향상되었고 사이드스텝 테스트(민첩성)에서는 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었다. 집단 간 기록변화 비교에서 민첩성 항목에서 프로그램 참가 유무에 따른 통계적 유의한 차이를 나타내었다.

이상의 결과를 종합해보면, 비록 신체발육이 미비할 수 있는 초등학생들이지만 체육영재 프로그램 참가여부가 아동의 체력 및 운동능력 향상에 도움을 주는 역할을 하는 것으로 사료된다.
