완벽주의적 자기제시가 이성관계만족도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 완벽주의적 자기제시와 이성관계만족도를 매개하는 변인으로서 정서표현양가성을 가정하여, 완벽주의적 자기제시가 이성관계만족도에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 대학 입학 이후 이성교제경험이 있는 만 18세 이상의 대학생 354명을 대상으로 온라인 설문 조사를 실시하였고, 정서표현양가성의 매개 효과를 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 22.0을 활용한 구조방정식 모형 분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 완벽주의적 자기제시는 이성관계만족도와 유의한 부적 상관을 보였고, 정서표현양가성과는 정적 상관을 보였다. 한편 정서표현양가성은 이성관계만족도와 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 완벽주의적 자기제시와 이성관계만족도의 관계에서 정서표현양가성은 유의미한 완전매개효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 완벽주의라는 성격적 특성의 대인관계적 측면인 완벽주의적 자기제시를 이성관계만족과 관련하여 살펴보았다는 의의를 지닌다. 또한 완벽주의적 자기제시라는 관계적 특성과 함께, 정서표현양가성이라는 심리적 특성이 이성관계만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구 결과는 정서표현양가성의 매개효과를 확인함으로써 높은 완벽주의적 자기제시 성향이 있는 대학생을 대상으로 하는 상담에서 정서처리과정에 대한 접근의 필요성을 강조하였다.

The purpose of the study is to explore the mediating effects of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness in the relation between perfectionistic self-presentation and romantic relationship satisfaction. The participants were 354 undergraduate students who had experience of having romantic relationship after age 18, and the result was verified through structural equation model analysis using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was a significant negative correlation between perfectionistic self-presentation and romantic relationship satisfaction, and there was a significant positive correlation between perfectionistic self-presentation and ambivalence over emotional expressiveness. Also, there was a significant negative correlation between ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and romantic relationship satisfaction. Second, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness had a significant complete mediating effect in the link between perfectionistic self-presentation and romantic relationship satisfaction. This study is meaningful in that it examined perfectionistic self-presentation, which is an interpersonal aspect of perfectionism, in relation to romantic relationship satisfaction. In addition, the psychological characteristic and the relational characteristic were examined together in this study. The results emphasized the necessity of approaching the emotional process in counseling for college students with high perfectionistic self-presentation.
