- Abstract
- The efficiency energy transfer and the ASE characteristics of the blends comprising a fluorene-based liquid crystalline and a non-liquid crystalline photoluminescent polymer with different bandgap energies were demonstrated. A liquid crystalline blend with 2.0 wt.-% of the emitting guest gave a light emission whose peak intensity was ∼17 times higher than that of each component. Further, a low-threshold photo-pumped ASE was obtained in a waveguide device fabricated with the blend.
