Kim Jong-Un Regime and a newly Consolidated Party in Uniform

Abstract

Kim Jong-Un has monopolized the right to interpret ideology and then raised Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the ultimate and immutable doctrine of the Party Programmes. He has also succeeded in taking full control over the military power which was the only challenger to Kim Jong-Uns authority and abolishing the Military-First politics. Although the young general secretary has secured his leadership, it is difficult to rule out the possibility of explosive cracks and chaos happening through an accidental trigger. This is why we still view that the North Korean system must find balance in three frames, i.e., rule by totalitarianism, the organizational principles of Suryong system as a kind of Party-State system, and the way of revitalizing political dynamics through Theater State mechanism.
