KTX 경부선 이용자가 인식하는 차창경관의 특징에 관한 연구

Abstract

철도를 포함한 사회기반시설에 대한 통합적인 계획이 강조되는 흐름 속에서 경관 구조를 반영한 계획들이 고려되고 있다. 이에 부응하여 우리나라의 도로는 경관적 측면을 강조한 경관도로에 관해 각 지자체에서 보존 및 관리를 위한 계획을 시행하고 있다. 그러나 상대적으로 아직까지 철도와 경관의 연관성에 대한 논의 및 평가에는 부족함이 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 고속열차의 이용목적이 비즈니스에서 여가활동까지 점차 확대됨에 따라 열차 이용자가 열차 내부에서 바라보는 경관적 고려의 필요성이 제기된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지정된 노선을 통해 국토경관의 전반적인 현황을 파악할 수 있는 KTX 경부선을 대상으로 차창경관의 개념 및 특성을 구체화하였다. 연구방법으로는 세 번의 현장조사와 SD법을 활용한 설문조사를 통해 차창경관에 대해 이용자가 가지는 인식을 조사하고 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 세 가지 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫 번째로, 국내 고속열차 내부에서 이용자가 직접 경험 가능한 차창경관을 파악함으로써 경관으로 인지되지 못했던 차창경관을 연속경관의 유형 중 하나로 확장하여 바라봤다. 국내 차창경관에 대한 정의 및 특징에 관한 연구가 미흡하여 국외 선행논문을 토대로 본 연구에서 다루고자 하는 차창경관에 대한 개념을 규정하였다. 또한, 구체적으로 가시‧비가시 구간의 물리적 특성에 따라 15개의 유형으로 분류하여 차창경관 전반에 관한 정리를 통해 연구의 차별성을 확보하였다. 두 번째로, SD법을 적용한 이용자 인식조사를 통해 차창경관을 정의할 수 있는 요인을 축소 분류하였다. 요인분석 결과, 차창경관은 개방성, 변화성, 정돈성, 전원성으로 분류되어 각 항목에 대한 평가가 이루어질 수 있었다. 또한, KTX 경부선의 경우 차창경관의 전원성은 높지만, 변화성이 낮은 것을 확인하였다. 세 번째로, 철도 노선계획 시에 경관적 관리 및 현재 국내에서 진행되고 있는 철도건설 사업에서 경관에 관한 평가항목 및 편익 고려의 필요성을 제기하였다. 이용자의 차창자리에 대한 지불의사액을 조사함으로써 차창경관의 경제적 가치환산의 기초자료를 제공하였고 이용자가 차창경관의 가치를 긍정적으로 평가함을 파악하였다. 종합하면 본 연구는 국내의 지속적인 철도의 경관개선을 위해 차창경관의 현황을 파악하고 경관 평가항목의 타당성을 뒷받침할 근거를 제공하였다. 향후 기존 노선 및 신설 노선계획 시 경관에 관한 기초연구로써 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

As the integrated planning for social infrastructure including railroad becomes more important, the landscape structure are being considered in the plans. In this regard, each local government is implementing a plan for preservation and management of scenic roads in South Korea. Opposite to scenic roads, little attention has been posed to the relationship between railroad and landscape. In this context, as the purpose of using high-speed trains gradually expands from business to leisure activities, the necessity of considering the landscape from inside of the train is raised. Therefore, this paper focuses on the concept and characteristics of train window views by analyzing the KTX Gyeongbu Line, which can show the overall status of the national landscape in South Korea. As a research method, three field surveys and a survey using the SD method were conducted to investigate and analyze users' perceptions of train window views. Based on this, three implications were identified. First, the train window views, which was not recognized as a landscape, was expanded as one of the types of sequence landscape by identifying the train window views that users can experience in the high-speed train. Not much has been studied in the field of train window views in South Korea. Therefore, the concept of train window views in this study was defined based on overseas previous literature. In addition, window views were specifically classified into types according to the physical characteristics of the visible and invisible sections. This is a differentiation in this study. Second, the factors that can define train window views were classified through a user perception survey. As a result of factor analysis, train window views were classified into four factors. The factors are openness', variability', neatness', and rurality'. In the case of KTX Gyeongbu Line, it was examined that 'rurality' was high, but variability' was low. Third, the need to consider the evaluation items and benefits of landscape management in railway route planning and the railway construction project currently underway in Korea and raised in this study. By investigating users' willingness to pay for a window seat basic data for the economic value conversion of train window views was provided, and it was identified that users positively evaluate the value of train widow views. In summary, this study examines the status of train window views and provides the grounds to support the validity of landscape evaluation items for improvement of landscape in high speed train. It is also expected to contribute as a basic research on landscape planning of railroads.
