여성이 한시로 배필을 구하는 일

Abstract

역사나 야담에 金台鉉, 鄭麟趾, 趙光祖, 金安國 등 군자의 방에 침입한 여성에 대한 이야기가 전한다. 여성이 미남자에게 먼저 시를 지어 구애하는 이야기도 시화, 야담, 소설에서 드물지 않게 등장한다. 이 논문은 이러한 이야기의 양상을 살피고 그 의미를 해석하고자 한 것이다. 책을 잘 읽거나 시를 잘 쓴다는 것은 그 남성이 뛰어난 능력을 가지고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 또 이를 알아본 여성이 먼저 시를 지어 보냄으로써 자신도 그에 못하지 않는 문학적 재능과 취향을 갖추고 있다는 것을 보이는 것이다. 이처럼 여성이 시를 지어 마음에 드는 배필을 구하고자 한 것은 고려나 조선에서 있을 수 있는 그럴 듯한 일이었다. 특히 귀족 출신이 아닌 중간 계층과 평민 계층 여성들이 경제력을 바탕으로 한시에 대한 소양을 키웠고 이런 여성들이 한시를 통해 자신의 능력과 취향에 맞는 배필을 찾는 것이 자연스러운 현상이었을 것이다. 또 解語花로 불리는 기녀일 경우 하룻밤의 인연을 이런 방식으로 맺고자 한 것도 드물지 않았을 것이다. 더욱이 조선후기 여성이 한시를 매개로 하여 잠자리 상대를 공모하고 남성이 이에 응하는 음담패설로까지 확대재생산되었다. 조선시대 여성이 한시를 매개로 하여 남성과 인연을 맺는 이야기를 소개하고 이러한 시각에서 해석해보았다.

In addition, a poem is written to a handsome man who reads a book with a resonant voice, and a favorite story appears in poetry, yatam, and novels. This article is intended to reinterpret the meaning of these stories. Reading books or writing poems well means that men have excellent abilities. Thus, it was a plausible story in Goryeo or Joseon that a woman showed that she had the same literary talent and taste by writing poems first, and that she wanted to get a good spouse. In particular, middle-class and common-class women, who are not from noble families, grew knowledge of Chinese poetry based on their economic power, and it would have been a natural phenomenon for these women to seek a good spouse that matches their abilities and tastes. In addition, it seems possible for a giraffe called 解語花(a talkative flower) to have a one-night relationship in this way. Women conspired to sleep with one-time use, and men responded to it, which was expanded and reproduced. I introduced and interpreted the story of a woman in the Joseon Dynasty who had a relationship with a man through Chinese poems.
