동양사분야의 회고와 전망 - 외연의 확대와 질적 심화, 그리고 앞으로의 과제 -

Abstract

김형종이 논문의 목적은 지난 2년 동안 동양사 각 분야에 대한 한국에서의 연구 성과와 경향을 간단히 요약하는 것이다. 그동안 동양사 각 분야에서, 특히 중국이나 일본의 전근대사 분야에서 다양한 수준과 내용의 많은 단행본이 출판된 것은 주목할만한 현상의 하나로, 그 분야의 활력을 보여주고 있으며, 나아가 그것은 지닌 시기에 못지않은 이 시기의 연구 성과의 동향을 확인해주는 것이기도 하다. 또 공동연구나 작업의 성과가 작지 않다는 특징 역시 한국에서의 동양사 연구의 미래에 대해 낙관적인 기대를 갖게 하는 근거의 하나가 된다. 외연의 확대와 질적인 심화, 다양한 주제의 접근법, 그리고 새로운 관점에서의 접근은 이러한 연구 동향의 특성을 잘 보여준다.그러나 전체적인 인문학의 위기 가운데에서도, 공동작업 활성화와 차세대 학문 육성이라는 과제는 여전히 한국 동양사학계가 가지고 있는 과제이며, 매년 동양사학회에서 주최하는 연구토론회의 활성화와 내실화는 여전히 그 보완을 서둘러야 하는 미흡한 과제이다. 동양사학계의 한걸음 더 나아간 수준 향상을 위l해서는 이를 개선하는데 보다 적극적인 노력을 기울여야 할 필요가 있는 것이다. 게다가 2020년에 발생한 세계적 코로나19의 유행 때문에, 국내외적인 학술교류는 심각한 위기에 처해있기 때문에, 코로나19 이후의 시대에 대한 준비 역시 함께 모색해야 할 과제가 된다.

The purpose of this paper is to briefly summarize the achievements and trends of the Korean Researches on Asian history over the past two years. In the meantime, in each field of Asian history, especially in the field of pre- modern history, a number of books of various levels and contents have been published, showing the vitality of the field, and in general, it is possible to confirm the presentation of research achievements comparable to the last period. In addition, the achievements of the joint research are not small, which makes us optimistic about the future of Asian history research in Korea. You can easily check the expansion and substantiveness of the extension, the approach from various subjects and novel perspectives. However, in the midst of the overall humanities crisis, the task of revitalizing joint work and fostering the next generation of academics is still a task that the Korean Asian History community has, and the vitalization and substantiveness of the research debate held annually by Korean Association of the Asian History is one of the good ways for that. It will take an active effort to improve it. Moreover, in the global Corona 19 pandemic that attacked in 2020, Academic exchanges at home and abroad are in serious crisis, so it will be necessary to seek preparations for the era after Corona 19.
