양진주의, 복수문제 그리고 표현가능성

Abstract

양진주의에 대한 중요한 비판 중 하나는 강화된 거짓말쟁이 역설로 알려진 복수문제와 관련된다. 필자는 이 글에서 복수문제를 구성하는 주요 요소인 표현가능성의 요구가 오도된 것임을 보이고자 한다. 이를 위해 필자는 머지와 로시가 제시한 복수문장의 문제점을 밝히고 이를 다른 복수문장으로 확대할 것이다. 간단히 말해, 복수문제는 고전성과 같이 배타성이 포함된 개념을 양진주의의 언어로 표현할 수 있어야 한다는 것에 기초하는데, 이러한 요구는 양진주의 자체를 거부하는 자기 부정적 요구라는 것이다. 그리고 그 과정에서 양진주의에서의 고전성이 갖는 특징을 규명하고, 이러한 고전성에 대한 표현 방법으로 빌이 제안한 고함규칙과 같은 해석규칙을 제시할 것이다. One of the essential criticisms of dialetheism is related to revenge problems known as 'strengthened liar paradoxes.' In this article, we will show that the demand for expressibility, the central element of revenge problems, is misleading. To this end, we will reveal problems of the revenge sentence presented by Murzi & Rossi and show that other revenge sentences also have similar issues. In short, revenge problems against dialetheism presuppose that exclusivity, such as 'classicality,' should be expressible in its language. It is an infeasible requirement because it denies dialetheism itself. Furthermore, we will present the characteristics of 'classicality' in dialetheism and show that interpretational rules, such as the "shriek rule" proposed by Beall, can be used to express this classicality.
