To behave rationally, one must have rational preferences as well as rational
beliefs. Economics, which is specialized in the study of rational choice, explicitly
discusses the problem of rational preferences. Hoswever, instead of directly dealing
with the problem of rational beliefs, it assumes that people have perfect
information with respect to choices people face. There are heated controversies
between economists and non-economists with respect to information and beliefformation.
The purpose of this paper is to propose joint-research agenda between
economist and non-economists by checking those controversies.
