- 이 발표는 현대 한국종교와 평신도 운동이라는 주제 아래 천주교, 즉 카톨릭 교회의 평신도들이 해방 이후 어떻게 종단 내에서 활동해 오고 또한 대사회적으로 중요한 영향을 끼쳐왔는가를 종교적 지성의 입장에서 정리하면서, 아울러 21세기의 평신도 상을 전망해 달라는 종교문제연구소의 청탁에 부응하려는 것이다.
