- Abstract
- St. Augustine sees the time through altogether different point of view from the thinkers formerly. He has considered the time in the internal aspect of human being, while the others thought the time from a physical aspect to a quantitative aspect. That is, his time is not absolute but relative. One thoughts that the time is long and short, which is influenced by the mind. It was created by God. And the timeness of the human being results from his depravity. Therefore the time become a basis for being(ens) with things. Human being in the infinite of the timeness has a task constantly conduct the pursuit of overcome for the time. He found that there is a solution in the internal world of human being whose a memory for imago Dei(image of God). That is why He is discovered possibility to be restored will of God. So his the theory of the time come over to the problem of will(Inentio). St. Augustine has thought that the time is scattered toward past, present and future in terms of its restored will, such as 'the dissolution' can be overcome by the concentration to internalize of consciousness. Furthermore he thought that IS nothing less than the very a stage of salvation(sanctified) in christianity.
