한국기업의 정보기술 활용에 관한 연구

Abstract

Information technologies have been used to improve job efficiency through automation of routine and repetitive activities. As we move from the era of automating to the one of informating, corporations should focus on the strategic use of information technology to improve their competitive advantage. Even though information is becoming one of the most important resources in business today, business organizations tend not to materialize information technology' s full potential due to inappropriate conceptualization of information, incomprehensive information strategy planning, application of less systematic methodologies and lack of leadership. This study surveyed the current status of Korean companies' infonnation technology utilization with a special attention to small to medium companies, and suggests strategies for them to be well-prepared for the coming information age.
