Management Education in the Age of Knowledge Based Economy

Abstract

How do we position the Korean management education for the 21st Century knowledge based economy? The question can be better answered if we have a clear vision of the economic reality in the millenium. Although we do not have a perfect prediction for the coming century, we have considerable research work

on the 21st Century. Of late, these works have been centering on knowledge based economy, knowledge management and knowledge industry. Some observers attribute the causes of the Japanese Economic problem in the last 9 years and the Asian economic crises since July 1997 to the lack of preparation for the knowledge based economy.
