Abstract
To enable the validation of HW/SW-mixed Bluetooth device design
in the context of PICONET, we present an efficient simulation
environment. The environment enables two types of simulation:
one is modular enough to include the simulation of other vendors
Bluetooth devices and the other is optimized to achieve fast simulation
in developing in-house Bluetooth devices. We present two
techniques, grouped message concept and fix-modify-restart scenario,
to reduce the simulation efforts in our simulation environment.
We use the simulation environment in the mixed HW/SW
design of single-chip Bluetooth device. Experimental results show
the effectiveness of the presented techniques in reducing the simulation
efforts.
