- Abstract
- Globalization of corporations is accelerating due to development of IT technology and economic development of developing countries and is becoming as a very important issue for the survival and prosperity of corporations. In particular, International Joint Venture is becoming as a key mechanism of international growth. There are many International joint ventures conflict in which parents firm came from different countries. Many researchers have reported a high rate failure in International Joint Ventures; a failure ascribed to the difficulty in resolving Conflict Problem. Therefore, the investigation of factors affecting the successful Conflict Resolution is appealing not only researchers but also managers.
Under these situations, this study has analyzed focusing on conflict and conflict management considered as one of factors, which affects successful management. This study has analyzed the existing studies on conflicts as a whole and has explored a tangent point between studies on conflicts and management of international joint ventures.
And it has also analyzed theories of resource-based approach (RBV), transaction cost approach (TC), agency cost theory (AC), and social network approach and with the result of this analysis, conflict resolution and avoidance could not be explained and finally, a new approach, that is, SER-M mechanism approach was analyzed and was founded as feasible in theory to analyze conflict resolution management.
