Abstract

This paper aims at revaluating 「Oksuki」 which was korean novel, written by Sim-Neongsuk(1782-1840). 「Oksuki」 compared with other korean classical novels by the 19th century, had special aspects. This novel Conclusion is as following. First, 「Oksuki」 is one of the Bullyal-novels which has the aspects of Upper layer nobility family. This work has the 8 features of the Bullyal- novel. Second, This work is treating the marriage of the man and woman and combination of families mainly. The marriage of the man and woman becomes accomplished from dimension of the friendship, dimension of justice, and dimension of elegance. The marriage of the man and woman is accommodated with dimension of combination of families. The combinated families forms a high rank families. These families become the families which protect the order of the society and the nation. Third This work appeared in 19 century, latter half period of Bullyal- novel. Compared with Bullyal-novels as 「Soheynseonglok」. 「somunlók」. this work shows weaken propensity of problem of family inside. On the other hand this work this work shows oppositions between political hostile groups. This feature can be searched in 「Imhwajeonjwen」. Of course the degree of family-combination in 「Oksuki」 is weaker than that in 「Imhwajeonjwen」. But the composition principal of this work is principal of the family regiment, that is ceatain. Finally, the writer layer and reader layer of this work are the high rank family.
