Abstract
This paper is aim to study the aspect of morpho-syntactic changes of sipda construction diachronically. The type of complement of sikbeudaconstruction was not various in Middle Korean by contrast with Modern Korean. A -gojeo sikbeu- construction to have a meaning desire was changed to -go sikbeu- construction after the mid-17th century. A -eumyeon sibeu- construction appears upon 19th century and in all probability, the formation of this would be related to a conjunctive ending -gwadyeo'. We can find a very special construction -goraja sikbeu- on Korean letters of 16th century, and in my opinion it is proper that the ending -goraja is a sentence-final ending to have a meaning desire, not conjunctive ending. A d^t sibeu- construction being combined with a defective noun d^t appears after 18th century and a contracted form -gopeu- and a grammaticalized form -dasipi- show up more later than 19th century
