dc.description.abstract"Dok-Rip(獨立)" in this paper represents all the Sino-Koreans combined by obstruent-final and liquid-initial Chinese characters. There are three phono logical topics in "dok-rip". First, two different ways are possible for the phonological explanation of "dok-rip(獨立)". One is "dok→rip→dok→nip→doŋ-nip", and the other is "dok-rip→doŋ→rip→doŋ-nip". These two processes are symmetrical and equal in many aspects but the accident occurred in real history supports the former.

Second, "dok-rip" has been considered as a representative example of reciprocal assimilation. But "dok-rip" doesn"t correspond the meaning of reciprocal assimilation. It need many conditions to be reciprocal assimilation, but "dok-rip" lacks some of them.

Third, from the time of the nasal assimilation"s completion "dok-rip" is made by two dissimilar courses. In general the output of phonological mange can be realized in surface. But when the nasal assimilation was concluded the output of "dok-rip>dok-nip" was not allowed any more. So the nasalization of liquid came to the rule loss.
