Abstract

To clarify the taxonomy of Celastraceae, herbarium specimens collected from South korea past fifty years were examined on the basis of leaf, flower, and fruit morphology. the morphological characters showed that three genera (Euonymus, Celastrus, and Tripterigium) with 12 taxa could be recognized. The current study could not confirm the existence of E. chibae Makino, C. flagellaris Rupr. in south Korea due to the absence of specimen at SNUA.
