Why Korean taxonomic projects fail now : the present status and operating aspects of herbaria in Korea

Abstract

Korea is geographically and floristically diverse, with over 2,500 species documented as occurring in Korea. Our flora is most closely related to the northeastern and central Chinese and Japanese flora. A simple examination of the regional arrangement of peninsula helps us picture several possible transmigration routes of plants during the Tertiary and the Quaternary time.
