dc.description.abstractThis study aims at identifying problems and finding possible remedies of curent policy tools by analysing the employment policies for the disabled people in Korea from the perspective of policy tools. Employment policy for the disabled is especially important among various disability policies because it makes their work activities as normal as possible through employment promotion and occupation rehabilitation. This study will divide policy tools of employment policy for the disabled into "Authority Tools", "Incentive Tools", "Capacity-building Tools", and "Symbolic Tools" based on the discussing Etzioni and other scholars. There are characteristics, advantages and limitations of these employment policy tools for the disables. As a result, this study suggests the following direction of the employment policy for the disabled in Korea: ① to improve compulsory employment system and employment allotment system for the disabled; ②to use actively by incentive tools; ③to introduce government procurement and government contract; ④to improve systems of vocational education and training of the disabled; ⑤to improve the connection with medical and vocational rehabilitation.-
