조선 성종대 전반 언론의 동향과 언론 관행의 형성 : 성종대 언론 발달의 요인과 관련하여

Abstract

Press development under King Seongjong's reign was basically attributable to

reduction of royal authority due to King Seongjong's accession and transition of

power structure according to it. This can be demonstrated by the fact that press

was already fl ourished before the rule of King Seongiong. Main factors of media

development under his reign were restored cheongyo- jik which had been abolished

during King seio's era and formation of the usual practice of censorship based on

cheongyo- jik. In this situation, yemun-gwan officials could exercise their freedomof

press regardless of political circumstances, and this led to free activation of the

press.
