조선의 書目을 통해 본 동아시아의 한문 서적 교류

Abstract

국외의 漢文書籍을 연구하는 방법에 관하여 필자는 이전에 두 가지의 원칙을 제기한 바있다. 곧 實證과 結合이다. 이 두가지 원칙을 한문서적 교류 연구에 적용하려면 어떤 구체적인 내용이 포함되어야 할까? 바꿔 말해 어떤 자료들을 사용할 것인가? 이에 대하여 일본 학자인 大團應曾이 「流轉日本漢籍之硏究方法與資料」

라는 논문에서 간략히 설명한 바 있는데 참고할 만하다. 이에 뒤이은 연구로는 필자의 「淸代詩話東傳略論稿」가 있는데，이 논문에서는 해당과제의 연구방법과

참고문헌에 대해 설명하면서 書目, 史書, 日記, 文集, 詩話, 筆記, 序跋, 書信, 農書, 印章 등을 개괄하여 검토했지만 편폭의 제한으로 인해 자세하게 다루지는 못했다.

본고에서 검토하고자 하는 동아시아 한문서적 교류의 범위는 역사상의 中國, 朝蘇, 日本, 琉球와 越南 등의 지역을 포괄한다. 본고는 이들 지역에서 전개되어온 한문서적 교류에 대한 연구를 통해, 교류의 경로와 유형 및 영향, 그리고 그 심층적인 요인까지 고루 탐색하고자 하며， 아울러 당시의 정치, 경제, 종교, 사상 및 이를 통해 형성된 취미와 기호 등에 대해서도 다루고자 한다.

This paper attempts to explore the book exchanges and trades among East Asian counties based on bibliographies complied in Chosun Dynasty. The bibliographies complied in Chosun Dynasty includes four categories: imperial bibliography, regional bibliography, private bibliography, and bibliography in official history, which reflect different perspectives of book and cultural exchanges in East Asiain premodern period. For example, we can have overall survey of collections in the imperial library of Chosun Dynasty, and how Chosun literatibrought books from China step by step, and the book exchanges among Korea, Japan and Vietnam at that time. Regional bibliography consists of the bibliography of printing blocks preserved in provincial governments and bibliographies of local schools, academia, and temples. The bibliography of printing blocks can tell us the reprinting of Chinese books in different regions of Korea, which reflects the popularity of Chinese books in local level. The academia in Korea not only has great collections of books, but prints books also, and served the function of distributing books written in Chinese. Though the private bibliography did not has huge collections, it has annotated notes to the book, from which we can see the size of collections, basic cultivation, and intellectual structures of literati family in Chosun Dynasty, furthermore, we can learn the relationship between literati and Chinese Classics from it. Bibliography in official history mainly extracts from documents within and outside Korea, and sets forth the history of book exchanges in East Asian community.
