Abstract
Background and Aims: Oxaliplatin, irinotecan and 5-fluorouracil
(5-FU)-based preoperative chemotherapy is increasingly used in
patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRLM). Although
chemotherapy-related hepatopathy (CAH) has been described,
its impact on postoperative outcome remains controversial. The
purpose of our study was to review the effects of preoperative
chemotherapy in CRLM patients on liver histology and on
postoperative outcome.
