Abstract
Adipose tissue is no longer considered an inert energy storage organ
but is involved in active regulation of physiologic and pathologic processes.
Adipose tissue produces and releases a variety of factors (adipokines),
including adiponectin. The aim of this study was to evaluate
the effect of adiponectin, one of well known adipokines, on human
HFs in vitro.
