- Abstract
- This paper attempts to think about the methodological ground of writing education. Writing is not only personal activity but also in itself cultural and social activity. Then it may be good that writing is regard as some sort of cultural and social activity. Method of developing writing ability should be in consideration of closely connected with other social fields.
Criterion of evaluation of writing should not be one term, e.g. cohesion. It also should have many other criteria They should be cultural and social categories. Orientation of writing should aim at the creative or critical direction. So general orientation of writing should not be confined as personal essay exclusively. Even in writing in such subject it might well be good in not only personal direction.
The subject of writing may and should not be the only specific direction. But one of the minimal direction may be the publicity. Of course it doesn't mean the moral meaning in strict sense. That writing is social activity means writing is not only in itself one of the social self-fulfillment but also a sort of practice. Because it is not only interpretation of life and his or her own experience but also the practical intervention in social phenomenon around his or her personal world.
