Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examin the facts of korean language education through The Independence Newspaper and The Korea Daily News.

The Independence Newspaper is the first korean written newspaper in korean history. Fallowing it The Korea Daily News is written korean language. they took the lead not only a campaign enlitenment but also korean language education at the time of flowering. So they are necessary to study of korean language education.

In order to approach to the purpose of this study, this~ is focussed news written korean language education. and carre to a conclusion like the followings.

First, the two newspapers played an important part in popularity education(especially women and laborers), second, the purpose of korean language education in newspapers was summarized three facts, that is to say, korean language education for popularity education, korean language education for translating, korean language education for discussing.
