Abstract

The main objective is to analyze the usage of case markers among Myanmarese KSL learners in spoken language. In order to observe the aspect of case marker errors in spoken language, the study has collected research materials from 15 Myanmarese who live in Korea. It employed three different interviews to each and every one of them; normal interview, completing a story with 9 cuts cartoon, as well as watching a silent film and conveying to others about what they have understood from the film. The data was analyzed through the frequency of usage, the frequency of error, the error rate and the error patterns. After analyzing the data the study found that form-simplifying errors occurred when they used nominative case marker 'i/ga', the replacement errors occurred when they used adverbial case marker 'e/eseo', the omission errors, addition errors and so on. Furthermore, the study found out that the Myanmarese KSL learners were influenced by their mother tongue when using Korean case markers.
