중앙아시아 이슬람 부흥의 양상과 전망

Abstract

중앙아시아의 문화 정체성을 구성하는 공통의 3요소는 언어(투르크어), 인종(투르크족), 그리고 종교(이슬람)이다. 특히 이 가운데에서 이슬람은 가장 핵심적 요소이자 근본적 토대이다. 1300여 년의 역사 속에서 중앙아시아의 이슬람은 부침을 지속했지만, 끊임없이 중앙아시아인들의 삶에 지워지지 않을 깊은 각인을 남겼다. 그것은 사회적 삶이 강력한 조정자이고, 개인뿐만 아니라 중앙아시아 민족 전체의 정신적, 문화적 정체성의 고유한 벡터이며, 전통적으로 이 지역 민족들의 사회적 연대의 단일한 기초이다. 따라서 중앙아시아에서 이슬라믕ㄴ 통상적 의미의 종교에 국한되지 않는다. 그것은 정치, 사회, 경제, 역사, 문화 등을 함께 아우르는 무슬림의 삶의 총체이다.

This study purposes to inquire into the aspects and prospects of Islamic

revival in the Central Asian countries since their independences. Islam in

this region is a powerful regulator for the societal lives, an indigenous

vector for spiritual identity of the individuals as well as the nation as a

whole, and a traditional basis for regional solidarity. Accordingly, the

Central Asian countries paid attention to islam to solve their most

imminent problem of the Lime, that is, the task of nation-state building

based on new national identity.
