상담구조화 내용 및 방법에 대한 고찰

Abstract

지금까지 상담구조화는 상담초기 상담자가 짧은 시간 내에 상담과 상담과정에 대해서 소개하는 활동으로 이해되어왔다. 상담자는 일방적인 교육 형식으로 상담의 의미, 상담 과정, 상담자와 내담자의 역할, 행정적 절차 등을 설명하고 내담자는 듣고 질문하는 방식으로 상담구조화를 진행하였다. 따라서 초기 상담에서 내담자의 호소 문제를 듣고 필요정보를 수집하면서 상담구조화를 하는 것은 어려운 일이었고 특히 초보 상담자에게는 잘 하지 못하는 절차 중의 하나였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 상담 구조화의 내용을 문헌분석과 전문가 면접을 통해 정리 하였다. 상담 문헌에서 제시한 상담 구조화 내용은 상담에 대한 정확한 지식의 제공, 정서적 안정과 희망 고취, 적극적이고 책임감 있는 태도 형성 등이었고, 상담전문가 면접을 통해 정리한 상담구조화 내용은 마음 달래주기, 상담의 의미, 상담자 역할에 대한 이해, 내담자 역할에 대한 이해, 상담과정에 대한 이해, 내담자의 권리에 대한 이해, 기타사항 등이었다. 상담구조화의 방법으로 지금까지 주로 사용된 상담면접과정에서 상담자의 직접적인 구조화의 문제점과 서면자료나 비디오 자료 등의 보조자료를 활용한 상담구조화의 효과성을 살펴보았다. 상담단계별 상담구조화의 필요성과 내용을 제시하며 관련된 상담구조화 보조자료 개발의 필요성을 제시하였다.

Until now, structuring for counseling has been understood as the activity that counselor explain about counseling and counseling process to client in a short time. Counselor teach the meaning of counseling, counseling process, the role of counselor and client and client listen and give some question. Then in early stage of counseling it was a difficult task of counselor that in one hand he should catch up client's problems and informations and in another hand he should structure client for counseling. This study focus on the contents and method of structuring for counseling. The contents of structuring for counseling are investigated by study on the previous materials of the theme and interview with professional counselors. The contents of structuring for counseling in early stage of counseling are categorized as smoothing client's emotion, meaning of counseling, counselor's role, client's role, counseling process, client's rights. Auxiliary materials are presented to help counselor structure client for counseling, and visual materials are commended as most helpful. The contents of structuring for counseling in middle and last stage are also investegated, so it is stressed that structuring for counseling is the activity that should be done over the process of counseling.
