고등교육후속세대를 위한 강의실습 : 서울대 핵심교양 삶과 교육의 하화공동체 사례를 중심으로

Abstract

대학의 고등교육기관으로서의 정당성은 고등한 수준의 교육활동을 통해 확보되며, 교수들의 교수활동의 질은 그 핵심적 관건이 된다. 고등교육의 가치를 인식하고 장차 대학에서 교수활동을 수행함으로써 그 세계에 헌신할 사람들을 고등교육후속세대라고 개념화할 수 있다. 기존의 교수활동의 수준향상을 위한 일련의 프로그램들은 고등교육후속세대를 길러내는 과정으로 보기에는 많은 개념적, 인식론적, 교육적 한계를 지니고 있다. 이를 극복하는 대안적 과정으로 강의실습이 요청된다. 강의실습은 교수활동적 지식의 고유성과 위계성을 인정하고 상황적 실천을 통해 교육적 가치와 그 자율적인 내적 원리를 체득하는, 교수활동을 소재로 삼아 가르치고 배우는 교육활동을 일컫는다. 서울대학교의 핵심교양과정 가운데 하나인 삶과 교육강좌의 하화공동체는 우리나라 대학 내에서 강의실습이 이루어지는 구체적인 양상을 보여줌으로써 그 제도적 정착의 가능성을 제시하는 사례로서 의의를 가진다.

University as the institute of higher education can be justified by its 'higher level of educational activity' especially higher teaching quality of instructors. The persons who develop their potential level of teaching knowledge to participate into higher educational instruction, to commitment in educational virtue, to make educational relationships between 'Seuseung' and 'Jeja' might be conceptualized as 'the successors of higher education'. Such some procedures as incidental unconscious acquisition, teaching assistant training program, and newly appointed professor workshop have epistemological and educational shortcomings as the educational procedure for the successors of higher education. "Teaching Practicum' is needed as the alternative procedure for them. Teaching Practicum recognizes the uniqueness and developmental stages of instructional knowledge. It accepted situated practicum according to such nature of knowledge as tacitness, contexuality, unspecifiability, and implicitness. Moreover, teaching practicum satisfies educational endogenous interaction rules. The case of 'Seuseungs' Community' of 'life and education' is investigated as an exemplar of teaching practicum.
