대학교육의 질 제고를 위한 Blended e-Learning 체제 정착 방안 연구 : S대학교 사례를 중심으로

Abstract

강의실에서 이루어지는 교육에 e-Learning을 혼합하는 Blended e-Learning 체제는 각 교육 체제의 장․단점을 서로 보완하여 교육의 질을 더욱 강화시킨다는 근거 하에 기대와 관심이 점점 증가하고 있다. 그러나 대학에서 이것을 효과적으로 정착시키고 운영하기 위한 전략 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 Blended e-Learning 체제를 대학교육 현장에 정착시키기 위한 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로, S대학교의 교수 55명과 학생 181명을 대상으로 설문조사와 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 또한 국내외 대학교의 사례를 조사하여 운영 전략을 분석하였으며, 정착 방안을 모색하기 위해 관련 전문가들 및 교수들과 초첨집단회의를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 현재 Blended e-Learning 시스템 기능의 유용성과 안정성에 대한 개선 요구가 많았으며, 양질의 콘텐츠 개발을 위한 지원과 교수자를 위한 구체적인 장려 제도가 필요하다고 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 조사 결과들을 토대로 대학의 정책 변화 및 장려제도, 안정적이고 기능적인 지원 시스템, 콘텐츠 개발의 활성화라는 세 가지 차원으로 Blended e-Learning 체제를 대학교육에 효과적으로 정착시킬 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 제안하였다.

The interests and expectations of Blended e-Learning system which mixes face-to-face learning with e-Learning have been growing recently. However, it isn't firmly established in the university education because of several problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the practical solutions for establishing Blended e-Learning system in the university education. A survey of 55 professors and 181 students at the S university was performed. In addition, analysis of the successful e-Learning case in some national and international universities and an focused-group meeting were performed. Results showed possible solutions for practical problems as follows: to make the direction of Blended e-Learning by the university committee, to put a practical system which encourages professors and students to participate in it, to ensure the role of organization which take full charge Blended e-Learning, to establish useful and stable e-Learning platform, to set the portal knowledge database based on the academic characteristics, to manage and upgrade the platform continuously, to allow flexibility in development contents, to supplement the professionals who can develop the e-Learning contents, to improve the support system and follow-up procedures.
