초등학생의 사고양식, 자기효능감, 학업성취와의 관계 분석

Abstract

요약본 연구는 학업성취 수준에 영향을 미치는 성취구인의 하나로 새롭게 조명 받고 있는 사고양식과, 학업성취와 밀접한 관련이 있는 학습동기이론 중의 하나인 자기효능감, 각각의 변인과 그들의 상호작용이 학업성취에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 초등학교 아동 237명을 대상으로 자기보고 형태 질문지를 통해 사고양식, 자기효능감을 측정하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 사고양식 유형에 따른 학업성취는 국어, 사회, 과학, 그리고 전체 총점에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 사고양식과 교과별 학업성취와의 관계를 보면, 국어는 사법, 위계, 지엽, 진보 영역 등에서 정적 상관이었고, 수학은 행정, 지엽 영역 등에서 정적 상관을 보였으며, 사회는 입법, 사법, 위계, 내적, 진보 영역에서, 그리고 과학은 사법, 위계, 지엽, 진보 영역과 정적 상관을 보였다. 자기효능감 수준이 높을수록 학업성취가 높았으며, 사고양식 유형과 자기효능감의 학업성취에 대한 상호작용 효과 분석에서 자기효능감 수준에 따라 학업성취에 영향을 미치는 주효과는 수학을 제외한 국어, 사회, 과학에서 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 사고양식 유형에 따른 주효과는 어떤 과목에서도 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 자기효능감 수준과 사고양식 유형의 상호작용효과는 국어, 수학, 그리고 총점에서 유의하게 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships of thinking styles, self-efficacy and academic achievement. Two hundred and thirty-seven elementary school students(127 boys, 110 girls) were sampled from Iksan city. Results indicated that academic achievements were significantly different by the type of thinking styles. Academic achievements for the typeⅠ of thinking styles(legislative, judiciary, hierarchic, liberal) were higher than those for the typeⅡ of thinking styles(executive, conversative). Some correlations were found among sub measures of thinking styles and academic achievements. The higher the level of self-efficacy was, the more the effects on academic achievements were. The interaction effect between thinking styles and self-efficacy on academic achievement was found. The results provides basic data for developing learning and instructional program which considers learners' thinking styles, enhancing self-efficacy.
