토렌스 창의성 검사도형 A형의 독창성 채점에 대한 문화적 영향

Abstract

TTCT는 35개국 이상에서 번역되어 가장 폭넓게 사용되는 창의성 척도로 2가지 유형(A, B형)의 언어검사와 2가지 유형(A, B형)의 도형검사로 구성되어 있다. 여러 번의 매뉴얼의 개정작업을 거쳤지만, TTCT-도형검사만은 상대적으로 변화되지 않은 상태였다. TTCT의 하위요인 중에서 독창성은 그 반응이 통계적으로 보아 얼마나 드물게 일어나며 특별한지를 점수화하는 것인데, 서구의 문화와 한국과 같은 동양권의 정서가 다른데, 동일한 기준으로 이를 평가하는 것은 문제가 있다. 또한 독창성의 채점 기준은 오랜 시간이 흘렀거나, 다양한 인구통계학적 특성을 토대로 지속적으로 수정되어야 하는데, 1998년의 TTCT-도형검사의 독창성에 대한 채점기준 목록이 1984년과 동일하여 신뢰성에 의문이 제기되었다. 본 연구는 대학생을 191명을 대상으로 TTCT(도형 A검사)를 실시한 후에, 활동1, 활동 2, 활동3에서 서구의 독창성의 채점기준이 한국인에 얼마나 부합하는 가를 검증하였다. 연구결과 미국의 TTCT 채점 기준 목록과 우리나라는 많은 차이가 있었다. TTCT는 신뢰도와 타당도가 검증된 창의성을 측정하는 좋은 도구임에는 틀림이 없지만, 독창성 채점 기준 목록은 한국인의 문화와 정서에 맞게 수정하여 적용해야 할 것 같다.

Torrence Tests of Creative Thinking(TTCT) has been most widely used test of creativity that translated into more than 35 countries. The TTCT-Verbal and TTCT-Figural have two parallel forms, A and B. Although there have several revision of manual, the TTCT-Figural test itself relatively has remained unchanged. The originality scores in subscale TTCT was meant unique, special and rare responses. Western and eastern groups had different culture and emotion. If same originality lists were applied in different countries without cultural concerning, it was an undesirable thing. The originality scores would be changed among various demographics over time. The originality scores from 1998, which same lists as in 1984, so it was raised doubts about credibility of originality scores. This study was examined that originality scores lists of TTCT(1998) would be similar or not in Korea. The subjects of this study were 191 undergraduate students, data were collected through TTCT-Figural Form A that consisted of three activities. The results of the study were as follows; The statistical frequency of various responses in originality were different between Korean and American. Originality lists would be changed adequate norm groups for each population their own country. It was suggested that although TTCT has been adequate reliability and validity for test of creativity, but it subsequently would be adjusted their own originality lists in Korean culture.
