리더십에 대한 대학생들의 암묵적 이론과 창의적 리더의 대학적응 특성에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 대학생들이 가지고 있는 리더십에 관한 암묵적 지식을 알아보고 오늘날 대학생들이 갖춰야할 특성으로 중요시되는 창의성과 리더십의 관련성을 알아보고자 하였다. 또한 새로운 리더모형으로서 창의적 리더의 대학생활 적응 특성에 관해 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과를 연구문제별로 요약 논의하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들이 가지고 있는 리더십에 관한 암묵적 이론을 살펴본 결과, 사교성, 의사소통 능력, 대인관계능력, 카리스마, 타인배려 및 존중, 적극성, 자신감, 자기주장, 성실성, 책임감, 통솔력, 유머감각, 긍정적 성격, 판단력 등으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일상적 창의성, 셀프리더십과 대학적응과의 상관을 살펴본 결과, 일상적 창의성과 리더십이 .65의 높은 정적 상관을 보였으며, 일상적 창의성과 대학적응, 셀프리더십과 대학적응 또한 .62, .66의 높은 정적 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 대학생들의 일상적 창의성과 셀프리더십의 평균을 중심으로 네 집단을 구성하여 대학 적응 점수를 비교한 결과 일상적 창의성과 셀프리더십이 모두 높은 창의적인 리더들의 대학생활 적응 점수가 다른 집단보다 유의미하게 높았으며 하위요인에서도 모두 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 리더십과 창의성이 관계가 있으며 리더십과 창의성을 모두 갖춘 창의적인 리더들이 대학적응 을 잘 하고 있음을 나타내 준다. 추후 리더십과 창의성을 향상시켜 창의적인 리더를 양성할 수 있는 프로그램 실시가 제안된다.

This study explored college students' implicit theory about leadership and tested the relations between creativity and leadership, both of which is considered as important characteristics required for college students. In addition, the study examined creative leaders' characteristics in their college adjustment as a new model of leadership. The results are as follows. First, college students' implicit theory about leadership included sociability, communication abilities, interpersonal abilities, charisma, caring and respecting others, confidence, assertiveness,faithfulness, responsibility, humor, positive personality, and judgment. Second, there were high correlations among everyday creativity, self-leadership, and college adjustment. The correlations were .65 between everyday creativity, .62 between everyday creativity and college adjustment, and .66 between self-leadership and college adjustment. Third, four groups with different levels of everyday creativity and self-leadership showed different levels of college adjustment. More specifically, creative leaders, the group of students who were high in both everyday creativity and self-leadership, had significantly higher scores in their college adjustment total and subscales. These results prove substantial relations between leadership and creativity, and also imply that creativity leaders with both leadership and creativity show better college adjustment. They suggest that it should be necessary to design a program focused on leadership and creativity for training creative leaders.
