한국 청소년의 연령에 따른 진로발달 특성의 변화추이 분석

Abstract

이 연구는 한국 청소년의 연령에 따른 진로발달의 특성을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 이를 위해 2009년 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 「한국 청소년 지표 조사 IV-청소년 진로·직업 지표 조사」에서 수집된 자료를 분석하여 한국 청소년들의 연령 증가와 함께 증가하는 진로관련 변인들을 탐색해 보았다. 한국 청소년 지표 조사 IV-청소년 진로·직업 지표 조사」에는 중학생, 일반계 고교생, 전문계 고교생 6509명이 연 구대상으로 표집되었다. 진로발달 이론에 근거하여 진로발달의 경향을 파악할 수 있는 변인들로 일에 대한 가치 (내적 가치, 외적 가치), 성공에 대한 귀인(내적 귀인, 외적 귀인), 진로미결정 수준, 진로준비행동, 진로·직업 역량을 선정하고, 각 변인들의 학년에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 진로의사결정 준비성, 진로정보 탐색 행동, 합리적 의사결정과정에 대한 이해만이 학년이 올라감에 따라 증가하였고, 다른 변인들에서는 연령증가에 따른 일관된 변화를 확인하지 못했다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 한국 청소년의 진로발달의 특성을 논의하고, 진로 발달의 지표 개발에 대한 후속연구 및 진로교육에 주는 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the career development of Korean Adolescents. The data from "2009 Korea Youth indicators survey Ⅳ-Youth Career, Job Index" collected by Korea Institute of Youth Policy were analyzed. The subjects were 6,509 boys and girls from middle schools, general high schools, and vocational high schools. Occupational value(internal, external), attribution of career success(internal, external), career decision level(decidedness, assurance, readiness, independence), career preparation behavior(exploring, training), career competence(self understanding, work world information, understanding on the decision making process) were analysed. Readiness of career decision making, career information exploring behavior, and understanding on the decision making process were increased according to the increase of grades. It implies the career development of Korean adolescents might be similar to US in some areas. But the results of this study also imply the social-cultural differences might influence on the uniqueness of career development of Korean adolescents.
