서울市內 居住移動의 패턴에 관한 硏究

Abstract

In this paper, I study the pattern of intra urban migration in Seoul focused on residential mobility. And then, I try to discover the distance and directional bias of residential mobility in Seoul. The study area was confined within the legal city boundary of Seoul in 1977. Thus, it covers 343 administrative Dongs and the data of residential change between them were the object of analysis. The data actually used for this study were sampled in 17 administrative Dongs with the survey of migrant directory between April and May in 1977. For the convenience of the study, the Seoul area was divided into five Residential Age Rings (Fig. 1) and from the city center to outside, five Residential Age Rings were called as Ring 1, Ring 2, Ring 3, Ring 4 and Ring 5, respectively. The analytic procedure for this study is as follows. 1) The quantity of residential moves in each sample Dong was mapped and compared. Particularly, I put emphasis on comparing the characteristics among the five Residential Age Rings. From this, I intend to find the general residential mobility pattern in Seoul. 2) The correlation coefficient between move distance and the quantity of residential moves was calculated to see the relationship between the two. 3) To see the directional bias of residential move in Seoul it was measured by Adam's method.
