地域間 鑛工業生産의 隔差와 人口移動에 關한 硏究

Abstract

This paper is an attempt to analyse the relationship between migration and regional product by mining and manufacturing in Korea. Natural resouces and population are unevenly distributed in space. And the components of each region are different, and scales of economic capacity are also different in all the regions. As a result, economic development concentrates in some regions, instead of an even distribution over all the regions. Various factors, geographic, social, economic, cultural, have been pointed as stimulants of migration. I consider economic factor among these factors as the most important motive of migration. A most conspicuous indicator of economic conditions of a given community is its level of living. Thus migration works as a mechanism to balance the distribution of population against the regional distribution of income. The analytic procedure for this study is as follows. 1) Data by Shi, Gun are analysed to find out the relationship between migration and regional products by mining and manufacturing

from 1968 to 1976 by two year interval. 2) For the analysis of regional disparity of

products by mining and manufacturing, coefficient of variation(Vw) which Williamson used is applied. 3) Regional products by mining and manufacturing are analysed through mapping. And coefficients of variation(Vw) of regional disparity are compared. 4) The relationship between migration pattern and shifts of industrial employment structure are studied.
