Abstract
The 1980 U.S. Census of Population and Housing is considered to be very extensive and reliable statistical information on the population and housing collected by scientific survey method conducted by the Bureau of the Census. It is understood that the census survey is conducted in every 10 years to collect the data on population most important national and local policies by various governmental agencies as well as much business planning by business firms in the country. Since the census survey and report deal with the entire nation as a survey areas, it is quite clear that the census data is very extensive and substantial to handle and retrieve when any user try to use it. Therefore it is quite clear that in addition to developing sound scientific survey methodology of the census, there is another important aspect of the census methodology to develop how to disseminate available census data for various users as efficiently as possible. In this study, it is attempted to analyze the survey methodology in order to identify if there is any significant scientific procedures to collect and compile the census data that is available for the entire country. For the study of the survey procedure and tabulating all the statistical information, much effort has been made to analyze the organization of the census geographic areas made up with two distinctive areas known as the governmental-administrative areas and statistical areas.
