위성영상의 공간해상도 특성에 관한 연구 - 해안습지 토지피복 분류를 중심으로 -

Abstract

공간상에 분포한 각종 지리사상들은 다양한 분석기법을 통하여 분포특성과 패턴이 파악된다. 지리학에서 공간분석기법들은 지역의 특성을 파악하는데 이용되어 왔다. 원격탐사와 GIS 기술의 발달로 다양한 공간분석기법들이 개발되어 지역의 특성을 파악하는데 이용되고 있다. 이때 축척(scale)은 공간분석 기법에서 연구자가 고려해야 할 중요한 요인중의 하나이다. 축척은 측정이 이루어지는 시간적, 공간적 간격으로 정의되며, 연구지역의 범위나 측정단위로 결정된다. 공간분석에 있어서 축척이 중요한 이유는 공간자료에 축척의존성(scale dependancy)이 존재한다는 점 때문이다. 공간상의 지리현상은 특정한 축척에서 보다 선명하게 관찰된다. dlEO의 축척을 현상반영 축척(operational scale)이라 한다. 공간현상을 보다 명확히 설명하기 위해서는 현상반영 축척을 적절히 선정하여야 한다. 위성영상의 분석을 위한 적정해상도를 모색하기 위해서는 영상으로부터 분류되는 속성의 특성을 파악하고 이를 반영하는 해상도 특성 측정기법이 필요하다.

The spatial distribution characteristics and patterns of geographic features in space can be understood through a variety of analysis techniques. Theses spatial analysis techniques such as GIS and remote sensing techniques are used to understand regional characteristics in geography. The 'scale' is one of most important factors in spatial analysis techniques, which is defined as a spatial and temporal interval for measurement and is determined by the range of study area or measurement unit. Spatial data are so dependant on scale that it is important. The geographical phenomena in space are well observed in the specific scale. This scale is the so called operational scale. For an effective explanation of geographical phenomena, the operational scale should be well selected. For an analysis of optimum scale, it is needed to measure and represent the characteristics of attribute information extracted from satellite imagery.
