제주도 어촌의 관광지화와 공간이용 변화과정에 관한 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 제주도 어촌을 대상으로 바다와 ᄄᆞᆼ으로 구성되는 어촌공간의 관광지화 과정에 있어 공간이용의 전개 양상과 그 프로세스를 밝히고자 하였다.

제주도 어촌의 관광지화 과정에 대한 분석은 관광기능의 어촌공간상 위치에 ᄄᆞ라 기존 생산활동과 관광관련활동간 관계, 생산활동의 병행양식, 공간이용 양식 등에서의 차이를 보여주고 있다.

첫째, 관광기능의 어촌공간상 위치에 따른 관광어촌의 유형화와 기존 생산활동과 관광관련활동간 관계의 변화이다.

둘째, 공간이용의 전개양상에 대해서는 생산활동이 이루어지는 공간의 결합에 의해 생산활동의 병행양식을 분석했고, 공간이용의 프로세스에 대해서는 생산활동의 공간과 종류에 의해 공간이용 양식의 추이를 파악하였다.

생산활동의 병행양식은 관광관련활동과 기존 생산활동이 보완관계를 이루면 관광관련활동이 바다의 기존 생산활동과 시간적 차이에 의해 병행되는 시간적 겸업과 관광관련활동들이 바다와 해안이라는 광간적 차이에 의해 병행되는 공간적 겸업이고, 관광관련활동이 기존 생산활동을 대체하고 나면 해안의 관광관련활동들은 다시 시간적 겸업의 형태를 보인다. 따라서 생산활동의 병행양식은 [시간적 겸업 → 공간적 겸업 → 시간적 겸업]으로 전개된다.

Korean fishing villages have been on the decline since 1970's, but have changed a great deal since 1980's. This study is to analyse spatial impacts of tourism on rising villages in Jeju island. The analysis shows that the location of tourist function - sea or land - has an influence on spatial use if the existing and the tourist function.

In conclusion, the locational changes of tourist function are to be the indicator of the developmental stages, the uses of 「where」 to be the phases, the uses of 「what」 to be the process in the spatial impacts of tourism on fishing villages. The phases are 「space-oriented→time-oriented」, the process is 「widened range·diversification→narrowed range·specialization」 according as the tourist function of the sea changes into the land. This is to be risk management of the tourist function.
