시화지구 간척사업에 의한 환경변화와 주민의 대응 - 안산시 대부동 영전마을 사례로 -

Abstract

이 논문은 안산시 대부동 영전마을을 사례로, 간척사업으로 인한 환경변화에 대한 해당지역 주민들의 인식과 대응과정을 분석하였다. 이 논문은 다음의 세부분으로 이루어진다. 첫째. 바지락 출현과 바지락 소멸 이라는 환경변화와 마을 사람들이 공유하고 있는 삶의 경험이 환경변화 인식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가 분석하고, 둘째, 환경변화에 대한 마을 사람들의 대응과정을 생계방식 전환을 중심으로 살펴보고, 셋째, 생계방식의 전환을 통해 마을 사람들이 인식하는 환경 체계가 어떻게 재구성되는가 분석하였다.

This thesis analyzes process by which the residents recognized and coped with the environment transformed by the recalmation project. Yongjon village in Daebu Island, Ansan City was selected for this cast study as the environments of the area had gone through abrupt changed because of the Siwha tideland reclamation project.

This thesis comprised of three parts. In the first part, it investigates the characteristics of the environmental changes including the emergence and the disappearance of 'the short-necked clam (Bajirak)', and how these changes were perceived by the residents of Youngjon village. In the next part, it focuses on the conversion of the means of livelihood of the villagers, ie. the modes of their response to the changed environments. Finally it deals with how the environmental system was transformed and reconstructed in the eyes of the residents as a result of the conversion of the means of livelihood.
