금산농악의 문화사적 위상과 의의

Abstract

이 논문은 금산농악에 대한 구성 요소를 분석하고 문화사적 위상과 의의를 조명한 글이다. 금산농악의 중요성을 제고하고 이를 통하여 좌도농악 내에서의 위치를 규정하고자 한 것이 이 글의 핵심 요소라고 할 수 있다. 금산농악에 대한 일련의 연구가 좌도농악으로서 매우 중요한 위치를 점유하고 있음에도 불구하고 온전하게 연구되지 않아서 우리나라 전체 농악연구에 일정한 결함을 지니고 있다고 판단된다. 이 점을 시정하기 위해서 금산농악의 근간을 밝히고 동시에 금산농악의 성격을 규명하면서 문화사적 위상과 의의를 밝히고자 한 것이 이 글의 결론이다.
