규장각 소장 『庄土文績類』 분류의 원 질서 검토

Abstract

1904년 2월 러일 전쟁을 일으킨 일본은 대한제국에 대한 지배력을 강화하기 위해 황실 재정을 장악하고 황제권을 무력화시키고자 하였다. 일본은 황실 재정 정리 작업을 본격화하면서 1907년 2월 1司 7宮을 폐지하고 各宮事務整理所를 설치하였다. 각궁사무정리소는 1사 7궁 궁방전을 관리하면서 1907년 6월에는 궁방전의 導掌을 폐지하였다. 각궁사무정리소는 도장을 폐지하기로 결정하고 각 도장들로 하여금 各宮司에서 하부한 圖書文蹟 附屬文券, 量案, 秋收記, 監官舍 音名簿를 還納하도록 하였다. 각궁사무정리소는 도장을 정리하면서 도장으로부터 圖書文蹟과 附屬文券등을 환수했는데, 일반적으로 이때 수합한 문서를 모아둔 문서철이 『庄土文績類』인 것으로 이해되고 있다. 『庄土文績類』를 구성하고 있는 다수의 문서철이 도장을 정리하는 과정에서 수합된 것은 분명하지만 이는 『庄土文績類』 성격의 일면만을 파악한 것이다. 가령 『庄土文績類』에는 명례궁이 제출한 문서철 42책이 있다. 이 가운데 도장이 차정된 지역과 관련된 문서철은 楊洲 4책, 江華 1책, 南原 1책으로 모두 6책에 불과했고, 나머지는 도장이 차정되지 않은 지역의 장토와 관련된 문서철이었다. 이처럼 『庄土文績類』에는 도장과 관련된 문서 외에 다른 성격의 문서도 다수 편철되어 있는 것이다. 따라서 도장 관련 문서뿐 아니라 『庄土文績類』에 편철된 다양한 성격의 문서가 수합되는 과정이 검토되어야 한다. 이를 바탕으로 『庄土文績類』의 분류 양상도 검토되어야 할 것이다. 규장각한국학연구원에는 342책의 『庄土文績類』가 소장되어 있는데 『[內需司]庄土文績』(奎 19307, 20책)과 『[內需司文績類]』(奎 19312, 8책)를 제외한 나머지는 도서명이 『慶尙道庄土文績』(奎 19302), 『全羅道庄土文績』(奎 19301)처럼 모두 道名으로 부여되어 있다. 이는 『庄土文績類』를 1차적으로 道를 기준으로 분류하였음을 의미한다. 그런데 도장뿐 아니라 궁방이 제출한 문서를 비롯해 다양한 성격의 문서가 편철되어 있는 『庄土文績類』를 지역을 기준으로 분류하는 것은 『庄土文績類』의 성격을 반영한 분류 체계로 보기는 어렵다. 이에 본 연구에서는 『庄土文績類』의 문서가 수합되는 과정과 『庄土文績類』의 편철과 분류 양상을 검토하고 이를 바탕으로 황실 재정 정리 당시 『庄土文績類』분류의 원질서를 파악해 보고자 한다.

『the file of grand land』 is the file that the document connected with the whole of arrangement of finance of the Royal Household collected by arranging every kind of right of dojang(導掌) connected with the Royal Household from the document collected from the Royal Household by arranging the finance of the Royal Household. The collected 『the file of grand land』 in the process of arrangement of finance of the Royal Household is enveloped and bound back and forth with the same material at present, this is that the cover 『the file of grand land』 is remade and rebound by the Japanese Government – General of Korea. 『the file of grand land』 went through the course to be reclassified also with the course of rebinding. Currently 『the file of grand land』 has been classified according to the existence or nonexistence of area and title, this is difficult to understand as the original order of classification of 『the file of grand land』. The collected 『the file of grand land』 by arranging the finance of the Royal Household is classified by the arrangement institute and the subject. Accordingly, 『the file of grand land』shall have to be classified by the subject connected with the producer of document based on the arrangement institute of finance of the Royal Household. This classification shall be the direction forming the classification system of 『the file of grand land』 with the unit of Royal Household ⟶ the subject ⟶ the region, this classification system shall play the role connecting with each document file systematically.
